PLAYING FORMAT AND RULES
1. ’’Ice girls tournament 2009’’ is 8 teams tournament.
Tournament takes place at:

15-17. May 2009
2. ’’Ice girls tournament 2009’’ with 2 groups ’’A’’ and ’’B’’
With 4 teams each. Groups played Round Robin.
3. One game lasts 3x15 minutes (stop time)
4. All games have to be finished in 1h 20 minutes. If there would be a
situation where the last period is not finished in during time, the referee
will end the game at that point it is 1h20 minute from the start. Even if
the 3th period has played shorter than 15 minutes, it will be counted as
fully played 3-th period.
5.Warm up time 4-5 minutes before the game.
6.All teams play with all oponents during the group A or B. Winning
team gets 2 points in case of the both teams will get 1 point. The points
will be summarized and the team with most points gets the higest place.
In case for example team A1 and A3 have the same amount of points, the
higer place goes to the :
a) Winner of the game A1 and A3
b) Team with most victories
c) Team with less lost games
d) Team with better goal difference
e) Team with less penalty minutes
Final games cant be standoff. After game will be the penalty shots.
7.Break between periods is 3-5 minutes and ice will not be cleaned
during brakes.
8.All playing situations are to be solved according to the IIHF rules for
woman ice hockey.

9. There be 3 referees on the ice at each game. Also scorekeeper and
secretary.
10. Colours of jerseys are decided and agreed between the teams before
game.
11. Jerseys must be with good visible numbers on back.
12. Player amount for tournament from team 22 persons. (20 players +2
goalkeepers)
13. Tournament participation fee is 500,00Euro (Include ice costs, referee
costs, and awards and banquet for 25 persons. Each extra person 10 Euros)
14. Players AGE limit – above 12 year old (minimum 1997 borning year)
15. Team coaches have to select a candidate for the Best Player in all
tournament from team, and candidates for the Best Goalie, Best Defence,
Best Forward of the ’’Ice girls tournament 2009’’. The representetive
from the organizer will collect the nominations before last game of the
tournament.
16. During to all games in case of neccesary, there will be a doctor.
17. There is a possibility for teams to store their hockey equipment at the
ice rink during the tournament days.
* The closest hospital is 5-10 minutes by car from the ice rink.
* Medical insurance is preferable for all players
