Court moves to incorporate technology in providing the court record to the
public
Judiciaries across the Country respond to economic challenges of providing access to the public
record
November 2011, New York - eScribers, LLC, a national legal transcription company, recently
announced being awarded a mandate to provide transcription services to the Vermont judiciary.
In their Request for Proposal, Vermont’s Court Administrator emphasized the importance of the
court transcript. “Judges, attorneys, litigants and others often need written transcripts of
courtroom proceedings in order to review what was said at the hearing. These transcripts are
the official record. It is crucial that the transcripts be produced accurately and timely.”
