MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
OVERVIEW:

FBYC welcomes applications from sailors with a wide range of interests -young families seeking an excellent junior program for their children;
One-Design, handicap, or Offshore racing skippers and crew; cruising
sailors of all levels of experience and ambition; and retired sailors wishing
to associate with and give back to the sport -- who are seeking a club
where they can sail, socialize with other sailors, and contribute to the sport
of sailing

If you don’t already know Club members who can help you line up a
sponsor, contact the Membership Chair who will put you in touch with
current Members, preferably in your area of interest. For example, if you
are interested in racing, the Chair would arrange for you to meet with
Members who are active in the Offshore Division or the One Design
Division. You would also be informed of any club activities that might be
of interest to you and encouraged to attend where the sponsoring Member
would serve as your host and assist you in meeting other Members.
Your sponsor shall write a letter, using either the attached blank form or
stationery of their choice, setting forth detailed information in support of the
applicant. This letter may be attached to the application (preferred), or sent
separately, and submitted to the Secretary-Membership Chair by email:

Thereafter, you and your sponsor shall be notified when and where the next
Membership Committee meeting shall take place. You and your sponsor are
required to attend the Membership Committee meeting as the final step of
the application process. After this meeting your application will be
presented to the Board for approval.

Fishing Bay Yacht Club is a "participation" yacht club. Our Racing and
Social events are run by our members. Membership assistance is crucial.
New members, as well as old are expected to provide at least two (2) days'
service to one of the committees set forth in the attached membership
application.
