Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park: It Just Makes Sense
(Grades K-5)
At the zoo our educators will teach students a unique program focusing on the different
ways an animal will use their senses to find food and avoid predators. The students will
view many different types of animals in the lower zoo such as: Red Panda, Gila
Monsters, Ringtail Lemurs, Amur leopard, Cougar, Meerkats, Golden lion Tamarins and
more. Students will participate in a discussion comparing animal senses to our own
human senses. They will also have an opportunity to experience up-close animal
encounters with our Education Animals and participate in hands on activities.
