The fate of “D’donald” … a lesser-known Pharaoh of Egypt
One night Donald Trump was sad….
Yeah sure, he had more money than he could count and he owned more real estate than
could fit in some countries - and of course, “The Apprentice” was still popular… but
something was missing….
Then it hit him “Wouldn’t it be neat if people thought I was a god – you know as
opposed to just me?” It was at that point that “the Donald” resolved to go back in time
and become a King of ancient Egypt, where of course the Pharaohs were considered
gods.
Little did the world know that Donald had recently acquired a magic genie who could
help him out with the arrangements (like arranging for him to go back in time, become
Pharaoh and for people to understand what he was saying etc.)
Unfortunately, “D’donald’s” reign was very brief. In fact, it wasn’t much longer than the
70-day period it took to mummify his body. Like Tutankhamen, D’donald apparently
died under “mysterious circumstances”. His tomb was recently found. Sadly, it was
robbed millennia (thousands of years) ago and all that remained was the following (You
are each responsible for #1 or #2 and #3 and your group is responsible for #4):
1.
Ancient Egyptian tomb drawings, depicting the life D’donald lived before and
after he came to ancient Egypt (compare his modern world to the ancient one,) his plans
for Egyptian society, and the life he wanted to live in the afterlife etc. (1 page showing
his life in this world & 1 page showing his life in the next)
OR
2.
A hieroglyphic inscription (minimum 20 characters) of D’donald’s philosophy,
which he had inscribed on his tomb. A hieroglyphic response (minimum 20 characters)
to this philosophy written by someone else
…………………………..
3.
An ancient article (in English for some reason) from “The Egyptian Echo”
magazine comparing D’donald to 2 other Egyptian rulers and describing what
distinguished them and what was similar between them. For some reason the article
never actually mentions the cause of D’donald’s death... we have to guess.
(150 to
250 words)
4.
Some disembodied spirits re-enacting what happened to D’donald’s “Ka” (soul)
when it was weighed against the feather of “Ma’at” in front of Osiris (god of the
underworld.) (group presentation)
