Potential health effects: Page 1 of 6 In case of eye contact: causes reddening, delacrimation, severe pain, burn upon contact with the conjunctival sac. In case of skin contact: causes burn. In case of inhalation: in case of exposure to high concentrations irritation of the upper respiratory tract, cough, may cause burns of the mucosa of the respiratory tract. In case of swallowing: burn of the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract. 4. First aid measures 4.1. After inhalation: Take the injured person out in fresh out. In case he/she feels unwell or in case of occurrence and development of intoxication symptoms seek medical advice immediately. 4.2. After skin contact: Immediately take off the contaminated working clothes. Wash the contaminated skin areas thoroughly with soap and water. Wash the working clothes before using them again. 4.3. After eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of running water with eyelids wide open for 15 - 20 minutes. Consult a physician – ophthalmologist. 4.4. After swallowing: Rinse the mouth with water. If the person is unconscious he must not be given liquids through the mouth. Seek medical advice immediately. 4.5. Necessity of qualified medical help: in case of eye contact and in case of swallowing and presence of symptoms or irritation seek medical advice. In case of swallowing – the treatment is symptomatic. 4.6. Special means for first aid at the work place: protective respiratory mask, eyes’ bath, a bottle of clean water for washing the skin or the eyes. 5. Fire-fighting measures 5.1. Suitable extinguishing media: СО2, fire extinguishing powder. Larger fires should be extinguished with alcohol-resistant foam. 5.2. Media unsuitable for fire extinguishing for security reasons: full water stream. It may be used for cooling of containers. 5.3. Specific hazards, related to exposure to the preparation and resulting products of burning and gasses liberated: in case of fire toxic gases may be formed: СО, СО2 and nitrogen oxides. In case of burning of the PE package may be formed: СО, СО2, ethylene, methane, ethane, propane, propylene, cycloaliphatic hydrocarbons, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, butylenes, butane. 5.4. Special protection equipment for fire-fighters: suitable work clothes, self-contained breathing apparatus with full protection of the face. 6. Accidental release measures 6.1. Personal precautions: work clothes, latex gloves, protective goggles, providing of adequate overall or local ventilation. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Remove sources of ignition. 6.2. Environmental protection measures: In case of the occurrence of incident and/or spillage of the preparation, take measures for its localization and limiting. The quantity of the preparation collected shall be temporarily stored in special tightly closed I accordingly marked containers, after which to be submitted to persons, being holders of permission under the provisions of Art. 37 of the Wastes management law (promulg., SG, issue 86 of 2003). Take measures to not allow the pollution of surface/underground waters, soil as well as release to the sewerage system. 6.3. Means of cleaning and take-up: Adsorb with inert materials (sand, shavings or soil). Wash using water and detergent. The collected quantity to be stored in special tightly closed and accordingly marked containers. 7. Handling and storage Page 2 of 6 7.1. Handling: Follow the operating instructions as specified onto the label. Use it in well-ventilated premises. Avoid contact with the eyes. After operation change the work clothing and take a shower. Immediately change the contaminated work clothing with clean and dry one and wash it before using it again. Do not spill the remainder of the preparation in the sewerage system, but use it according its intended use. Do not allow disposal of the preparation into the sewerage system as well as of rinsing waters resultant from its usage. After usage collect the package in special, tightly closed and accordingly marked containers and store it temporarily within the area of the company premises, after which submit it for disposal to persons, being holders of permission under the provisions of Art. 37 of the Wastes management law /WML/. Stability and degradability – the cation surfactants are bio-degradable. Biotical degradation – very good > 90%. 12.4. Potential for bioaccumulation – bioaccumulation is not expected. 12.5. Wastes and package disposal: The wastes from the biocidal preparation in the form of residual quantities and packages must be collected in special tightly closed and accordingly marked containers, to be stored temporarily, after which to be submitted for disposal to persons, being holders of permission under the provisions of Art. 37 of the Wastes management law (promulg., SG, issue 86 of 2003). After usage wash the package up with plenty of water and collect the rinsing waters in special containers. Collect the packages in special, tightly closed and accordingly marked containers and store them temporarily within the area of the company premises, after which submit them for disposal to persons, being holders of permission under the provisions of Art. 37 of the Wastes management law /WML/. 14. Transport information It does not pose any hazard in case of road transport. Transport it in its original packages, in covered vehicles, separately from foodstuffs and drinks. 15.
