2012 AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT
FALL SESSION
The RH PTO is happy to offer students the opportunity to stay after school once a week for 4
weeks, to join their friends, have some fun, and learn something new!
Dates: October 1 – October 26 (Tuesday ends 10/30 starts week late)
Time: Once a week from 3:30 – 4:30pm
Cost: $30 per class (some courses have a $5 materials fee, which will be
collected at the first class)
To register:
 Select up to 3 courses in which your child would like to enroll; check that the grade
requirements are met.
 Enter the courses in preferred order on the Registration Form. All efforts will be made to
meet your 1st choice.
 Initial enrollment is limited to one class per student. Additional classes can be added if
space is available.
 Registration closes at 3:00 on Wednesday, September 26, 2012.

 To be fair to all students, your child may enroll in only one course.
 Proper school behavior is expected during enrichment classes. Failure to abide by this rule
may result in dismissal from the program without refund.

CALLING ALL FRIENDS! COME JOIN THIS GROUP LEARN HOW TO MAKE 3 DIFFERENT TYPES OF FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS.
ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL ALSO MAKE A SPECIAL BRACELET PERSONALIZED WITH THEIR NAME! There is an additional $5

FIFN JAPANESE CLUB

INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT JAPENSE CULTURE AND LANGUAGE. COME JOIN THIS GROUP AND LEARN ABOUT

SHRINKY DINK JEWELRY

Come join our group! Just color, bake, string and wear shrinky dink jewelry! There is an additional $5 materials
fee for this class.
CARDS, BAGS AND TAGS
GRADES: 3-4
TEACHER: MRS. ABEL
Come join me and learn how to create special homemade cards, gift bags and gift tags for all occasions.
Students will use a variety of papers, inks, ribbons, punches and more to make decorative cards and special
occasion bags. There is an additional $5 materials fee for this class.
COOKIE BAKING

Do you want to learn how to bake your favorite cookies and the some? Come join us as we learn how to
measure, mix and bake our favorite afterschool treats. This will be held in the Teacher’s lounge and is therefore

SIGN LANGUAGE FOR KIDS

Show me a sign…Sign Language that is! Would you like to learn a new way to “talk” – without speaking? Enter
into the beautiful, visual world of American Sign Language. This is a “kid-friendly” class filled with a fun way to
learn how to speak with others using your hands. Come learn your ABC’s, colors, numbers, words and even a
song or two!
IT’S GAME TIME

It’s game time so bring those sneakers and get ready for some fun with indoor and outdoor games. Games
include watchout, hopscotch, 4-square, kickball, tag games and more!

Frame 5 is here! There are many new features in Frames 5 that make it even easier to create original animated
movies. Including a collaborative feature which allows students to work together on a project. Be the first to try
out this new version. Come to this workshop with an idea to create a cartoon, animation or digital story.

Do you want to learn how to decorate like you see on TV? Come join us and learn how to frost, pipe and
decorate cupcakes, like the pros. This will be held in the Teacher’s lounge and is therefore not a nut free, dairy

selected on the above registration form. I understand that this permission applies to all scheduled dates
of the class; on the scheduled dates, my child will remain at school after regular dismissal unless a note
from home is received indicating otherwise. If my child is not enrolled in the YMCA after-care program, I
am aware that I must pick up my child at school in the lobby promptly at 4:30 on the course days.
My child agrees to demonstrate appropriate school behavior during enrichment classes. Failure to abide
