Forbes 1 Hannah Forbes K. Shimabukuro English 11 12 February 2016 Immunization Pediatricians help children if they are sick. When I get out of school I want to be a pediatrician because pediatricians help out little children. The reason I chose this topic is because when I get out of school I want to be pediatrician because I love to work with Children. In Pediatricians by Rosemary Wallner, she states that pediatricians are doctors who care for babies, children, and young adults. Pediatricians decide what medicines or other treatments are best for treating illnesses or injuries. Pediatricians do more to prevent illnesses. Pediatricians check babies about seven times in the first of life. Pediatricians use special tools to examine patients. A Pediatrician uses a stethoscope to check a patient’s heart and lungs. Abnormal sounds from the heart or lungs can suggest health problems. A Pediatrician also uses an otoscope to look into a patient’s ear and also uses a blood pressure cuff to check a patient’s blood pressure. About one third of pediatricians work more than sixty hours in a week. Pediatricians with private practices mainly have regular daytime office hours. My counter – argument for the article is children need to be taken to the Pediatrician to get immunized. Pediatricians work 60 hours each week. Pediatricians do not work in offices or clinics they help patients during emergencies. Pediatricians must understand a child’s Forbes 1 nutrition. A child should eat fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and other nutritious foods to help them be healthy. A sub specialist cares for special areas of the body for example a pediatric neurologist studies and teats problems of the nervous system the body system includes the following the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. Pediatricians sometimes hospitalize patents because they get an injury or are sick. You stop going to a Pediatrician when you are 18 years old. To help children be calm most Pediatricians will talk slow to children so they will not be scared and often tell jokes. Pediatricians should love working with children because that is why they have chosen to work with children for their career. People who want to be a pediatrician must have a high school education and take science and math in high school, Sciences classes should include biology, chemistry, anatomy, and physics.
