revisit Sensory Data Ingest (TDAR-2638) [TDAR-1850] update and improve the documentation around sensory data objects Created: 10/Feb/12 Updated: 06/Jun/13 Status: Project: Component/s: Affects Version/s: Fix Version/s: Open The Digital Archaeological Record None None Type: Reporter: Resolution: Labels: Remaining Estimate: Time Spent: Original Estimate: Sub-task adam brin Unresolved None Not Specified None Priority: Assignee: Votes: Moderate adam brin 0 Not Specified Not Specified Description The best place for this sort of information is the combination of this and the Guides to Good Practice. We definitely need to fill out the documentation here, but this is an area that we really have no expertise. Jim created the sensory data fields directly out of the requirements from CAST and the Guides, so it should be close to 1:1 with the guides. I agree that the documentation is lacking. From: Francis Pierce-McManamon Sent: Friday, February 10, 2012 12:27 PM To: Adam Brin Subject: Placeholder for longer discussion – "Creating or editing sensory data" record in tDAR As a follow-up to my discussion today with Mike Nullty, Center for Preservation Research, UC-Denver, I went looking for our guidance to users on how to create metadata and upload sensory data. We have a page, http://dev.tdar.org/confluence/display/TDAR/Creating+or+Editing+Sensory+Data. But, it is not filled in with very much information that is specific to sensory data. Last touched by Russell on 30 June. Am I looking in the correct place? Is this one category that we need to fill in instructions for? Just writing this out and sending so I don't forget. No immediate response or solution needed. Tx. FPM Digital Antiquity Francis P.
