Freedom of Information Request Reference: 1112757 Date received: 8 March 2012 Date response provided: 28 March 2012 Information requested and answers: 1. Please advise who in English Heritage signed off that the kilns were “not worthy of listing” Torbay Council does not hold this information. We have, however, contacted English Heritage and they have provided a copy of their Advice Report (which can be seen on pages 2 - 5 of this document) which gives details of the recommendation they made to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport. English Heritage is the statutory advisers to the Department of Culture, Media and Sport in matters of designation; the final decision rests with the Secretary of State. They have also pointed out to us that the Advice Report is their corporate view and not that of an individual member of English Heritage. Any further requests for information relating to this matter would need to be made direct to English Heritage and/or the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport. 2. Please may I have a copy of the road closure notice? (Blackball Lane) Torbay Council does not hold this information. Blackball Lane is a private road not a public adopted highway and therefore the Council is not required to publish a Road Closure Notice. The information supplied to you continues to be protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. You are free to use it for your own purposes, including any non-commercial research you are doing and for the purpose of news reporting.
