About
Set on a gently sloping riverbank with manicured gardens on five landscaped terraces,
the residence boasts a handsome five-bedroom villa available for private groups of up to
ten house guests. East Residence and Spa offers comfort and luxury, and a full

Accomodation
East Residence and Spa comprises two main accommodation buildings within a private
secure compound - a four double bedroom Main Villa and a double bedroom Rainforest
Cottage.
All buildings and amenities have been designed with the comfort and enjoyment of our
guests in mind and with the utmost attention to detail. The air-conditioned luxury of
modern western style living, draws on local inspiration to capture the open-air serenity
of traditional Balinese architecture.
The layout and landscaping has been planned to accommodate the varied living and
relaxation needs of any guest party. There are quiet corners and serene riverside
spaces, wide-open or well-shaded outdoor areas for large and small-group occasions.
The residence also features an Italian tiled swimming pool and pool bar; indoor and
outdoor dining and entertaining capability; a secure children's pool; full service spa
pavilion; riverside bales for yoga, meditation and for the spa's signature massage
treatment; an entertainment/media room and fully equipped business office.
Main Villa
Upon entry, the entire ground floor of the Main Villa presents as a serene panoramic
interior. The living area flows calmly through to an open-plan dining room featuring a
large ten-seat antique Balinese dining table and lighting centre-piece by Carlo DeSenn.
The whole ground floor living/dining area opens out onto the main pool and terrace area
via a series of bi-fold doors.
A separate Media room, with floor to ceiling glass walls looks out onto the stone
reflection pond and the main pool. This room and a separate fully equipped business
office both open off the downstairs living area to the left of the main entrance way. The
ground floor also has its own powder room / rest room.
The open plan dining facility is serviced from the staff kitchen where our resident chefs
prepare and serve a unique menu of local and international cuisine. The guest kitchen is
also available for the use of patrons.
The Main Villa boasts four large double en suite upstairs bedrooms with traditional style
Indonesia thatch used in the ceiling and roof construction and terrazzo flooring
throughout.
Bedrooms
Five of the large bedrooms each feature ensuite bathrooms with full amenity kits and in
room safety deposit boxes, terazzo floors, and a private outdoor patio or balcony. Air
conditioning units in each room are controlled by remotes on the bedside tables.
Window screening gives you the alternative of enjoying the fresh breezes.
Bathrooms
All bedrooms have adjoining bathrooms and the master bedroom en suite includes twin
sinks, shower and bath. All bathrooms are fitted out in a sleek décor of teak cabinets,
polished black granite bench-tops, polished marble and Andesi walls, and acid marble
flooring. Bathrooms are stocked with a range of East Day Spa soaps, bathing oils and
salts - a rich and fragrant fusion of Balinese and New Zealand ingredients.
Rainforest Cottage
The rainforest cottage is a romantic guest pavilion to one side the Main Villa on a lower
terrace. Furnished with a king-sized bed, wardrobes and TV/DVD, the cottage has a
wide wrap-around balcony that brings the forest canopy right up to your door.
The cottage features a private secluded outdoor bathing area with vanity, full size bath,
glassed in shower enclosure and outdoor shower.
Outdoor Living
The focal point of social life at the residence is the outdoor pavilion with its adjoining
kitchen facilities and combination of movable and built-in estate furniture. It is a central
feature in a design that facilitates an effortless flow from indoors to the outdoors,
suffused with the colour, birdsong, and fragrance of the terraced gardens.
This is where most guests prefer to spend the day relaxing, dining, entertaining, or just
enjoying the outdoors - all under the cover of shade and broad adjustable blinds. The
pavilion is adjacent to the pool and pool bar, and is equipped with concealed hi-fi audio
powered by i-docks throughout the house.
There is seating aplenty and it's the ideal venue for a wedding party, the lawn providing
ample space for a party of up to sixty guests.
Spa
East Residence boasts a purpose built full service day spa offering the very best in
modern and traditional spa and beauty therapies within an environment unrivaled in its
serenity. East Day Spa is owned and operated by the owners of East Residence and is
renowned for the fusion of eastern inspired holistic therapy and the latest in western spa
and beauty treatments. A full range of massage, spa and beauty therapy is on offer at
East Residence and Spa complete with tropical forest bath and drench showers, the
sound of rivers, waterfalls and rustling bamboo.
