56 BC- the time I’d like to travel to!
Saluete Omnes. Quis es? Meaning hello everyone how are you? I’m Helena and, you’ve got it ,
I’d like to travel to 56 BC. It’s the roman times, and, like mine, you need a roman name! I’ll
help you; girls end in an A like Helena and boys end in a US like Markus. It’s ok, I know, you
don’t understand Latin! That’s alright because if we travel back to the roman times I could be
your Deccimus AKA teacher/ guide!
Anyway, if you want some entertainment, you could go to the roman baths, or the Roman
amphitheatre to watch Romans fight to their deaths. What more could you want? Hang on, we
need a Roman, Any volunteers? (GET SOMEONE DRESSED AS A ROMAN!!) There we go a
roman male / female!
Now Romans are fine diners, they have fantastic houses with underground heating called
hypocaust. 56 BC is said to be the richest roman year moneywise, so even you could live in
the lap of luxury!
Also 54 BC is when the Romans invaded Britain, so we could stay here without any wars or
battle for land. In fact 56 BC is battle free so you won’t need to worry.
Roman times are fantastic, fabulous and very interesting. If we go there You’ll learn a lot more
about roman culture and You’ll love it! We could even see if the roman mysteries are true.
I am going to say a bit more, meanwhile you can pass this factual roman book around.
So salve Mr. / miss roman, what’s your roman name? Wow __ (name here)_____ that’s a
good roman name! Would you like a roman award for coming up here? (Give them roman
mystery bag) You may now take your roman stuff off and return to the present and your seat.
Back to the subject, 56 BC. If you don’t pick this place then I will die! Literally, I have done all
this stuff to help me win! Please, please please pick me. You know you want to!
Anyway, in the words of the Romans; veleant et, meaning Goodbye!
Thanks for listening.
