The district makes the NCHE Parent Brochure, “What You Need to Know to Help Your Child in School: A Guide for Parents, Guardians and Caregivers” available to parents in all school district buildings. The district includes reference to homeless/temporarily housed children in their Child Find notice. The district provides information regarding services and supports for students experiencing homelessness at the beginning of the school year and upon enrollment, per Washington State Law SSB 6074. No Program Evaluation. When your district initially applied for McKinney-Vento Competitive Grant Funding, your district was required to provide a detailed description of how your district would evaluate the impact of the program, including a definition of student success, how academic achievement would be measured, the process for gathering data, and a summation of the overall impact of the program. McKinney-Vento funds are awarded to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) through a competitive grant process.
