Call for Speakers & Presenters
ASSE’s Academics Practice Specialty will host its Fourteenth Academic Forum at the Professional Development
Conference in Dallas on Sunday, June 7, 2015. The Forum is open to all Academics Practice Specialty Members or
full time Safety, Health and Environmental academicians and researchers.
The theme is always, “The Best in SH&E Education!” The Forum offers a great opportunity to stimulate the
exchange of ideas concerning SH&E education practices!
Proposals are being accepted for either individual presentations or
panel discussions. Areas of focus for the forum are as follows:
▪ Student Recruitment
▪ Student Research
▪ Technology in the Classroom
▪ Safety Culture
▪ Scholarship of Teaching
▪ Accreditation
▪ Working with Advisory Boards
▪ Internet vs. Face-to-face
We are encouraging proposals for panel/roundtable discussions
based on feedback from last year’s Forum. These types of
presentations tend to foster more audience participation.
