Managed the physical site, security, and electronic equipment. Oversaw corrective and preventive maintenance
performed on antennas, HF receivers, and digital microwave, multiplexer, and switching equipment. Supervised a team of
6 and conducted evaluations and counseling for 20+ subordinates. Functioned as the leading technical authority for all

engineer for the upgrade of an incoming cable plant and a remote watch standing project. Participated in senior leadership

Worked with seven other technicians to support 111 miles of coast line in the Pacific Northwest. Supported six analog
microwave communication links to remote Coast Guard units as well as seven different PBX telephone systems,
performing programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Served as a primary training officer to set up training
schedules and ensuring facilitators were adequately prepared. Acted as lead telephone technician for six other individuals
and teams of technicians when road travel was required. Assisted other senior leadership members in conducting
evaluations and team building exercises.
 Supported efforts to build a new microwave tower, including moving equipment and cabling that supported the National
Distress System.
 Upgraded the Coast Guard Air Station/Group Astoria PBX phone system from a Mitel system to a Nortel 61C.

Worked with one other technician to support eight Coast Guard units in Alaska. Maintained phone systems and computer
