I hereby agree to breed the mare ____________________________, Breed _______, Registration number: ________________, to the
stallion____________________________________, registration number ________________________, standing at Lueck Show Horses
during the _______ breeding season for a fee of $______. I understand that this fee includes a ________ non-refundable booking fee,
which will be deducted when the stud fee is paid. Booking fee and a copy of the mare’s registration papers must be returned with this
contract. Total breeding fee must be paid in full prior to first semen request. Breeding season begins February 1 st and ends May 31st.
The Mare Owner Understands and Agrees to the Following: I understand that, in addition to the breeding fee, I will be responsible for
all costs of the semen shipping process, including a $250 collection fee per order and actual shipping charges. Fed-X or UPS will be used
for shipping, with expected delivery by 10 a.m. the following day. (Check for delivery details for your area.) Same day service will be
honored if time, semen availability and situation allow. I understand the breeding fee charges will be payable to Lueck Show Horses and I
must secure all other charges by a credit card placed on file with Lueck Show Horses. All financial arrangements must be made prior to the
first semen request.
I agree that my mare is in a healthy and sounds breeding condition, free from infectious, contagious and transmittable disease. I understand
that Lueck Show Horses strongly recommends a uterine biopsy prior to breeding to discover any hidden bacteria, infection or scarring that
could abort my mare or prevent her from conceiving. I agree that only the mare designed on this contract will be inseminated with the
shipped semen. A Breeder’s Certificate will be issued by Lueck Show Horses following the birth of my foal.
On the first day of my mare’s heat cycle, I will notify Lueck Show Horses and have my veterinarian check my mare and determine the day
my mare should be bred. I understand that ultrasound is of the utmost importance in choosing the right breeding date to get my mare in
foal.
I understand that the Stallion will be collected on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I agree to give at least 24-hour notice for each semen
shipment. I understand that the semen has been analyzed and tested and that the sperm cont, motility, collection and packaging meet

I understand that the burden of conception is placed entirely on me, the mare owner, and my veterinarian or technician. I understand the
mare must be bred immediately, on the same day semen is received, and proper methods of handing must be used. I agree to have my mare
examined by an early ultrasound scan between 14-18 days of the last insemination and notify Lueck Show Horses of her pregnancy status.
I understand Lueck Show Horses recommends mare be re-checked at 35 days.
I understand Lueck Show Horses, and their agents, will not be held liable for delays in delivery, semen that is lost in shipment, or
mishandled in any manner after it leaves Lueck Show Horses. I fully understand and assume the special risks inherent in breeding and
transporting semen.
I understand if the stallion should die, be sold or become unfit for service prior to settling my mare, I will receive a refund of any breeding
fees paid to Lueck Show Horses and the contract shall become null and void. If my mare should die, be injured, or be declared barren and
unable to conceive by a veterinarian (written verification required), Lueck Show Horses will accept a replacement mare.
Live Foal Guarantee: I understand that a live foal means the foal shall stand and nurse. If the mare does not produce a live foal, a return
season will be guaranteed by Lueck Show Horses, providing proper notification confirming the time and reason of death is provided by a
veterinarian within seven days.
Right of Return: I understand if my mare fails to conceive or aborts in the contract year, I will have the option of returning the following
year and will be charged the $250 collection fee only plus vet charges.
This contract represents the entire agreement between the parties. No other agreements or promises, verbal or implied, are included unless
specifically stated in the contract. This contract is entered into in the State of Iowa and will be interpreted and enforced under the laws of
that state.
