God Bless! “BE MERCIFUL AS YOUR FATHER IS MERCIFUL” Luke 6:36 Pope Frances has proclaimed an EXTRA ORDINARY JUBILEE YEAR OF MERCY from December 8, 2015 to November 20, 2016. In this Jubilee Year of Mercy, Pope Francis invites everyone to experience and come to know the greatness of God. Pope Francis wants us to come to understand DIVINE MERCY AS A WAY OF LIFE. Devotional aspects of the Divine Mercy message can come alive for us as we realize that we are called to a vital relationship with the living Jesus, says Dr. Bryan Thatcher. He also suggests that venerating the image of the Merciful Saviour and praying the Divine Mercy chaplet should lead us to a deeper trust in God, a greater ability to forgive those who have hurt us and to a stronger desire to be merciful to others. OUR PARISH WILL BE SPONSORING EVENTS AND CELEBRATIONS TO AID US TO understand DIVINE MERCY AS A WAY OF LIFE. 1. KICK OFF FOR THE YEAR OF MERCY “PARISH POTLUCK DINNER” AFTER MASS TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8TH AT 6 PM. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. 2. Starting SUNDAY, DEC 13TH ten minutes before each weekend Mass we will be reciting the Divine Mercy Chaplet, followed by a one minute MERCY MESSAGE. 3. Starting SUNDAY, DEC 13TH and on the 2nd Sunday of every month @ 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm will be a Divine Mercy Holy Hour with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament recitation of Divine Mercy and opportunity for Confession. 4. Divine Mercy Prayer Cards (no cost) and Divine Mercy CD’s (minimal cost) will be on Mercy Table at entrance to the Church. 5.
