Exposing cattle to infected foxes and dogs might be the cause of this trend. Dogs and 3 foxes were the main cause of the recent disease spread. The Veterinary Services decided not to take any risk and therefore vaccinated all the cattle in the infected area. In the contrary to the rise in cattle vaccination there seems to be a decline in dog vaccination. Maybe this is due to a reduction in the reports of the vaccination activity among dogs.
