Dear Year 2 parents
Roman Visit to Year 2 – Tuesday 20th October 2015
Year 2 will learn how to survive in Roman Britain on Tuesday 20th October! A rich Roman lady and a
Roman soldier will spend the day working with the class. Using role-play they will help the young
Britons decide if they would like to adopt Roman ways. Through games, song, hands-on activities,
artefacts and drama they will bring history to life. Mrs Rowbotham will provide a Roman lunch on the
day.
A voluntary contribution of £10.30 per child is requested by 6th October. Cheques should be made
payable to MSAPA. Payment by BACS should be made into the MSAPA School Fund Account : Sort
Code 30-98-12 Account number 00976685 please make sure that you put your name as a reference.
No child will be excluded, however, the visit may not be able to go ahead unless you make the
voluntary contribution.
