Position Summary

The Medical Affairs Liaison (ML) will engage in high level, on-label scientific
product discussions to cultivate and maintain professional relationships with
leading scientific experts, prominent healthcare professionals, and key
decision makers within the therapeutic areas of Respiratory Medicine and
Infectious Disease.
This position will cover the Southwest territory which will include AZ,
southern CA, CO, NM, and NV.
Description of Duties & Responsibilities
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The field-based ML will maintain high level, scientific proficiency of Forest
products and their respective disease states for the purpose of educating
key opinion leaders (KOLs) on the safe and effective use of such products
within an assigned geographic area. ML activity and scientific dialogue must
at all time be consistent with product labeling.
2. The ML will be responsible for reporting KOL medical voice to External
Medical Affairs Management such that medical field insights may assist in
the development of Medical Affairs strategy.
3. ML activity must at all times be in be full compliance with Forest Standard
Operation Procedures and Governance Codes, as well as US laws & Codes of
Federal Regulation regarding scientific and promotional activity. Proactive
and reactive discussions must be consistent with product labeling and be fair
balanced.
4. The ML will record KOL activity in customer management database daily.
5. The ML will provide on-label, fair balanced, scientific product and disease
state training to members of the sales organization, including, but not
limited to sales representatives, district managers, and area business
directors, using approved sales materials.
6. Please note: other job responsibilities may be added as deemed
necessary and appropriate External Scientific Affairs Management.
Position Requirements
. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
*Advanced terminal degree in medical/biosciences (e.g PharmD, PhD, MD)
*Clinical experience preferred
*Minimum of 3 years MSL experience strongly preferred
*Disease state management knowledge preferred in Infectious Disease
and/or Respiratory Disease
*Strong broad based scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge
*Excellent presentation and communication skills
*Strong overall written and verbal communication skills
*Understanding of the pharmaceutical compliance and regulatory
environment
*Ability to self direct and motive to meet business objectives
*Solid computer skills including ability to produce PowerPoint slides,
navigate databases, etc.
