Counselling and Psychotherapy Options Counselling is provided by professionally qualified practitioners. It is a non-judgmental, confidential relationship, valuing each person as a unique individual. Counsellors do not give advice; they assist their clients to find the answers which are right for them. Counselling and psychotherapy can provide an opportunity to explore emotional problems, together with a chance to look at how difficulties from the past continue to impact on the present; it can also be the means for personal growth and development. Unfortunately counselling is no longer available on the NHS but many organisations offer it on a sliding scale from as little as 50 pence. The Cogwheel Trust 47-51 Norfolk Street, Cambridge, CB1 2LD.
