Procedure:
1. In a poracailn dish at the water bath, melt stearic acid until it liquified
2. In a beaker, dissolve well, using a glass rod" Glycerin + water + Methyl paraben
+ KOH" and stir well until clear solution is obtained.
3. Heat the beaker’s content on water bath,
4. Add the warm solution No-3 (aqueous phase)to the porcalin dish’s content (oil
phase), outside the water bath mix well using the pestle for at least 2min, to form
the potassium stearate –emulsifyig agent.
5. In a mortar, powdered the Resorcinol and Sulfur.
6. Add No-4 into No-5, mix well using pestle until homogenous mixture is obtained
7. Continue stirring using the pestle until cold and yellow cream is formed.
8. Transfer to clean close container and fix red label.


Calculation:
F = 25 / 1000 = 0.025.
Procedure:
1- In a porcalin dish on the water bath, melt Stearyl alcohol until it turns to a liquid then
add the white petrolatum and wait till it melts completely.
2- In a small beaker, dissolve well using glass rod, the (Methyl Paraben + Propyl
Paraben + Sodium Lauryl Sulfate + Propylene glycol + distilled water) and warm on
water bath. Note: the beaker should reach the same temperature of the porcalin’s
content.
3- Add (Warm Solution) to the mixture in the porcalain dish drop wise, inside the water
bath, to form in situ emulsifier (potassium stearate). Mix well using the pestle for at
least 2 minute. Then remove form water bath.
4- In a mortar, grind the resorcinol and the sulfer to get very fine powder.
5- Then add No-3 into No-4, stirring using the pestle till a white yellow cream is
formed and it’s cold.
6- Transfer to a clean close container and fix red label.


Procedure:
1. Select the suppository mould and make your calculation according to the mould capacity
(either 1 gm or 2 gm).
2. Clean the suppository mould, invert it to remove excess water, then lubricate it with soap
lubricant using a piece of cotton, then invert it to remove the excess.
3. In a porcalain dish at the water bath, melt the stearic acid tell it liquified.
4. then add the oleic acid, keep on water bath tell warming, mix well the mixture using
pestle.
5. Add the indomethacin, mix well using a pestle, then pour the hot mixture into the
suppository mould, make over flow
6. Keep in refrigeratore, until solidified, smoothing the surface of the suppositories by
knife, then open the mould and select the best THREE suppositories, wrapped into
aluminum foil, fix a red label.

