The heavy metals distribution at coastal water of Derna city ( Libya )

ABSTRACT
The concentration of some heavy metals ( Fe ,Zn, Mn , Cu , Cd , Pb , Co , Ni and Cr ) were
determined in surface water samples' collected from nearshore stations at Derna city ( Libya ) coast. The
levels of heavy metals are high at regions which received different effluents from wastes of outlets along
Derna city coast. Different statistical treatments were carried out to calculate the correlation
coefficients between metals and the annual average variation.
