Catalogue (errors): no errors as far as I can read….catalogue is for 99% written in
Hebrew!
Organisation (punctuality, stewards, announcements, etc.):
- slow start-up of the show, but after the two first classes everybody was awaken and
in time in the collectingring and showring
- Shelley Solomon , registrar of the Israel studbook and organiser of the show, did a
great job with training the trainers to behave and to be in time!
- I asked the speaker to tell the handlers, grooms, owners, public that only very short
plastics at whips could be used, not big plastic bags, that trainers had to keep their
grooms under control, that excessive circling was forbidden. The announcements
were clear and the speaker was a big help to communicate instructions of the DC.
Showground and stabling:
All horses could be stabled. It was very hot but all horses seemed comfortable. All horses
had cool water to drink. One horse did not want to drink and was referred to the veterinary
clinic for colic.

should find out what it really is, but that was not possible on the spot.

Recommendations:
- Exhibitors should be informed about the rules of Blue Book. I have the impression a
lot of people are not aware there are rules.
- Some things are accepted for a long time but need slowly to change like excessive
circling in the collectingring, waving with big bags.
Overall Impression:
Very good organised show with very good athmosphere and very friendly people. High
quality horses, well taken care off. Superb hospitality.
Bronze medal for the judges-team because they kept on judging in very hot weather and
burning sun, Silver medal for the DC-team because they were shouting in Hebrew and I
did not understand anything which looked very funny from the side, and Gold for the
organiser Shelley Solomon for shouting even harder, also in Hebrew, but who did an
excellent job and made sure all of us cooled down in time!
