During the daytime hours our building houses veterinarians that have special training in internal
medicine and surgery. Patients are seen on an appointment basis through referral from their regular
veterinarian. Typically these referred patients require extensive diagnostics, treatments, or surgery that
their general practitioners do not provide.
The emergency service is available 24 hours a day. The emergency service manages trauma and critical
care pet emergencies when your regular veterinarian is not available. No appointment is necessary.
The referral practice operates Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. Upon referral to our facility by
your regular veterinarian, an appointment with the internal medicine or surgery department will be
scheduled. Conditions for which your pet may be referred include: diabetes, cancer, inflammatory bowel
disease (IBD), urinary problems, congenital defects, mass removals, fracture repair, ligament damage or
