About Kay Systems:
Established in 1977 as the local & exclusive representative of KONE elevators and
escalators in Lebanon. Following a 25 years experience, the company has, at present, a
working force of 49 employees consisting of highly trained technicians, engineers and a
strong administration, which helped in the acquisition of the ISO 9001-2000, in April
2001 after a thorough restructuring process.
Kay Systems has also 14 sub-contractors and a full knowledge of the Lebanese market
and covers all the territory with branches in the North and Bekaa Valley.
Among our competitive edges, is the presence of our fully independent, organized and
efficient Maintenance Department with a large data base, through a 24/7 call center.
Our In-House design division provides comprehensive architectural, structural and electrmechanical designs with all supporting documents (drawings, specifications, BOQ’s, etc)
5 years ago, the company decided to offer and expand its knowledge and expertise to
international markets through the Offshore company Kay Systems International. At the
time and backed by heavy experience in the design, supply and execution of international
projects for selective customers, the plan became a complete success and the company
decided to keep a strong presence in some of the main west African countries:

Elevators: KONE.
History Of KONE:
Being one of the largest manufacturers of elevators and escalators worldwide, KONE
started operating in 1910 in Finland. During its 95 years of operation, the Finnish
company never stopped growing, reaching to buy some of the largest worldwide
elevators names such as: EGUREN (Spain), FALCONI (France), MARRYAT & SCOTT
(UK), SABIEM & FIAM (Italy), STARLIFT (Netherlands) and MONTGOMERY ( the
fourth largest manufacturer in the USA)… many other names are added to the list.
In 1967, as business grows higher, KONE had been listed on the Helsinki Stock
Exchange.
Today, KONE sells, manufactures, installs, services (maintenance) and modernizes
elevators and escalators all around the world with net annual sales of EUR Three Billion,
and 27,000 employees.
In 1996 KONE reinvented the elevator with the ECOdisc technology, replacing several

Nowadays, KONE leads the market in terms of escalators, with 45,000 installations in 80
countries. The new ECO3000 line is a complete fresh level of energy efficiency, space
saving, reliability and aesthetics. It is the ideal solution for retails and commercial
buildings.
