How on Earth Can We Live Together – We the Humans and We with Nature?
We live in a world that has space for everyone and everything. We live in a beautiful world that
has a grand variety of people, creatures, and habitats. To maintain our remarkable and immense
Mother Earth, we have duties to fulfill - duties of keeping her clean and healthy. As we are
developing, we improve various technology devices. These helpful achievements have become an
integral part of our everyday lives. However, they also bring our homes and the homes of many
creatures’ disadvantages. I see the solution of this problem in establishing a wise balance between
humans and nature.
Air pollution was documented a long time ago as a hazard both to humans’ well-being and to
the Earth's ecological system. The World Health Organization has stated that air pollution is
responsible for approximately 2.4 million deaths during the decade, as well as for many humans’
and creatures’ respiratory diseases. The sources of air pollution are factories, cars or motorcycles
which were created and have been used by man since then. These inventions release carbon
monoxide, a very toxic gas for all living creatures. Today we no longer have enough plants to
balance oxygen and carbon dioxide, which can lead to a catastrophe. We humans destroy nature and
hurt ourselves by inventing more and more appliances.
Another disadvantage caused by us humans is global warming. Global warming is the increase of
carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide in the earth’s atmosphere. As these gases are being
released, they have a destructive effect on the ozone layer. They trap the heat in the earth’s ozone
layer raising the temperature incalculably. This immediate change in climate has drastically
influenced many habitats and creatures everywhere. For example, we have stronger storms now than
many years ago. In addition, the rising temperatures produced by global warming have caused many
ice caps to melt leading to an incredible rise in sea levels. That is why we have an increasing amount
of floods nowadays. The melting ice has also destroyed many habitats of animals, especially in the
South and North Poles. Analyzing these destructions, I can conclude that the products we humans
utilize bring harm to us.
The world is big enough for nature and humans. God has designed such a big world that has
enough space to maintain everything He created. God has created the world perfectly and without
any flaws. We humans are responsible for the immense and magnificent world we live in.

Unfortunately, we have failed to keep this world healthy and clean. We do not take care of our Earth
anymore. Instead, we are more interested in our selfish ambitions - developing technology - and
forget about our suffering home.
There is no doubt that technology has made our lives comfortable, but should the increase in
technology be infinite? While we develop our technology, we do not think of the consequences it
causes to the beauty of our dwelling place. It is time for all of us to take a stand and at least try to
help our disappearing nature. For example, some people are already trying to balance between
technology and nature by making environment-friendly products, such as cars that run on batteries
instead of fuel. As Mahatma Gandhi once noticed, “Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s
need but not every man’s greed.” From his words, I conclude that without nature we cannot live.
Hence, we should not be selfish and should think about our Mother Earth before we think of
ourselves. Let us live together in a clean and healthy environment - we the humans and we with
nature!
