Competitive Essay Award of the Wimpfheimer-Guggenheim
Fund for International Exchange in Nutrition, Dietetics and
Management
2010 Application
The Wimpfheimer–Guggenheim Fund for International Exchange in Nutrition, Dietetics
and Management is offering a $1,000 award for an essay describing a plan preferably
describing a plan to create a regional nutrition or dietetic association preferably in a
developing country or countries or describing an effective mass feeding program for
special groups such as the elderly, malnourished or disaster victims in a developing
country. The project described should be easily adaptable to a variety of situations. The
author must be a professional dietitian or nutritionist and must be involved in the actual
project.
The essay winner must submit the essay for publication in a dietetics related newsletter
or magazine. All applicants must be willing to share with others the ideas mentioned in
their essay. Essays should be between five and seven typed, double spaced pages.
Applications must be postmarked by December 1, 2009.
Include with this application the original and three copies of your essay. The essay title
should be specific and informative, conveying the findings of the project.
