Dry skin: Keep skin moisturised throughout

100% pure, freshly pressed juice of the moisture-rich and
robust ice plant, which soothes and cares for the skin
while relieving itchiness and redness. A combination of
various high-quality natural oils – for example from
jojoba fruit, sesame seeds or almonds – forms a creamy
foundation which is absorbed readily by the skin while
providing additional protection for the outer layer
(epidermis) without leaving behind a greasy film. Both

The right clothing
Synthetic materials and certain detergents can irritate
skin that is extremely dry. For this reason, people with
dry skin should test different materials to see what they
best tolerate and be certain that their clothing is always
rinsed thoroughly after washing. Cotton, silk and linen
are usually the least irritating to the skin. In addition,
the German Skin and Allergy Foundation in Bonn
suggests that people should wear several layers of
breathable clothing instead of clothes made from heavy
materials. This prevents the sweating caused by
excessively warm clothing that can lead to increased
itchiness.
The right climate indoors
The right level of moisture in the air is especially
important for people with very dry or hypersensitive skin.
As a general rule, when the room temperature is between
20 and 22 degrees Celsius, a relative humidity of 40 to
60 percent is recommended. In order to achieve this, it is
important to air the room correctly. In the winter,
windows should be opened wide for a short period of
time only. This allows less moisture to escape to the
outside. Humidifiers also reduce the risk of the skin
drying out.

Stress and aggravation can have an effect on the health of
the skin, as can poor nutrition or insufficient exercise.
