RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT
Director: Prof. A. Drevelegas
Priority not only of the Radiology department but for the Hospital too, is the installation of MRI ,
the lack of which causes serious problems at our hospital.
Since six (6) years the MRI of the Radiology Department of the University General Hospital
AHEPA has stopped to operate and as result the patients who need magnetic resonance examinations of our Hospital should move to the different hospitals of the city. This creates serious
problems to the level of the treatment of the patients as well as to the educational level of the
medical students.
So in terms of priority we need:
• a 128 slice MS CT
• a new ultrasound machine (approximate cost 130.000€)
• a digital radiography system (approximate cost 400.000€)
• a digital mammography system (approximate cost 300.000€)
