Thank you for your interest in speaking at the IMB’s “Protein Biology & Biochemistry Forum”. This is a fortnightly meeting run by
The Division of Chemistry and Structural Biology as a gathering for post-graduates, post-docs, group leaders and invited guests
to present their research in protein biology, structural biology and biochemistry. It is not a closed meeting and is open to
researchers from all of UQ as well as other universities. The PBB Forum has two formats, 20+20 and 20+12+12. See detail at the

A more detailed structure of the forums (we have two formats) as follows:
The "20+20 Format"
The "20+12+12 Format"
3.10 pm - room opened, AV settings checked, speakers check
slides, company rep can setup stand etc
3.20 pm - company rep to load talk onto laptop, food is ready by
now, check ramp door unlocked, people arrive and can
grab food on way to seats
3.30 pm - front door to room closed, company rep talk begins (2-3
min) at 3.30 pm sharp
3.33 pm - welcome by chair, mention pertinent divisional news,
first speaker introduced by chair (2 min)
3.35 pm - first talk begins (20 mins)
3.55 pm - first talk question time (5 mins), chair thanks first
speaker
4.00 pm - second speaker introduced (1 min)
4.01 pm - second talk begins (20 mins), can go over by 5 mins
4.21 pm - second talk question time (5 mins), chair thanks second
speaker
4.26 pm - announcements, remind about trade display, close
forum for discussion, people can eat remaining food
and discuss with company rep
