Jock, Jerome M. (December 3, 1939 - February 14, 2009) Jerome Michael Jock, age 69, of Filion, died Saturday morning, February 14, at Covenant Cooper, Saginaw, following a long illness. He was born December 3, 1939, at the home of his parents, the late Roman and Loretta (LaLonde) Jock and lived in Huron County most of his life. Jerome served in the armed forces for 6 years being honorably discharged from the US Navy in 1963. Jerome had worked as a Lab Tech at Warren Memorial Hospital several years and also at Hubbard Hospital, Bad Axe. He worked pipeline construction over twenty years, at Active, Elkton 3 years and most recently was a meter reader for Detroit Edison, retiring in 1992 for health reasons. He loved riding his motorcycle, farming, fishing and working on cars. Jerome also enjoyed cooking and canning all those vegetables he grew in his garden. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Surviving are eight children, Michele (Patrick) Kibue of Bridgeport, Jeremy Jock of Port Hope, Nathaniel Jock of Gagetown, Ashley (Michael) Mazure of Belleville, Zachery Jock of Bad Axe, Loretta Jock of Bad Axe and her fiancée, Joshua Mazure, Daniel Jock of Bad Axe and Lillian Jock of Saginaw; three grandchildren, Jayden, Christian and Emily; two brothers, Clifford Jock of Roseville and Lawrence (Peggy) Jock of Port Hope and three sisters, Geraldine Rolph of Elkton, Maxine Heilig of Bad Axe and Ann (John) Shepherd of Harbor Beach. Preceding him in death was a son, Joshua; a brother, Roman, four sisters, Rosalia Peyerk, Jeanette Lawless, Jean and Loretta Jock and a nephew, Gary Peyerk. A funeral mass will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 18, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rapson with burial and military honors in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 PM at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton and at the church after 10 AM Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to the family.
