Promote your Practice with NOMAD®
Your NOMAD Handheld X-ray System is on the leading edge of x-ray technology. Its unique handheld
form factor is often of interest to the news media. Many NOMAD users have benefitted from increased
exposure through local radio, television, and newspapers.
You can use this to your advantage by contacting your local media. They are usually very interested in
stories about local businesses and technology. If possible, tell them that you are the first in your city,
neighborhood, or area to use the device. Explain the differences from conventional x-ray units:
• No need to leave the patient during x-ray procedures.
• Great for kids, special needs, humanitarian projects.
• Low radiation dosage to patient.
• Light weight and small size make it easy to use both in and out of the office.
Feel free to change the sample press release below to fit your practice, then send it to the city desk of
your local newspaper. Feel free to change the names and adapt the wording to fit your practice. Be sure
to include a picture of you taking an x-ray of a patient with the NOMAD.

Local Dentist Features New Handheld X-ray Technology
Remember the last time you underwent a dental x-ray? They positioned that scary-looking
machine in front of your face. Then they have the nerve to leave the room and hide behind a
wall. What’s with that?
Fortunately, those days are now gone. Local dentist <dentist name> of the <dental practice
name> in <your city> says that the latest technology in handheld x-ray machines allows
technicians to take x-rays while in the same room as patients.
“This has proven to be a real asset to our practice,” said <dentist name>. “The patient doesn’t
feel so left alone during the procedure, and it’s faster too.”
<dentist name> uses the new NOMAD® handheld x-ray system from Aribex, which is
substantially smaller and lighter in weight than traditional x-ray devices. The design allows
technicians to position the machine in ways that were not previously possible so they can get the
exact image they need.
“It’s particularly effective for wiggling children or for special needs patients who may be fearful,
have an issue sitting still or are under sedation,” said <dentist name>. “The diagnostic
information we get from the x-ray allows us to take better care of the patient.”
Because they get the image the first time, the NOMAD system often reduces the number of x-ray
exposures to the patient, and, as a result, a lower dose of radiation. And because of the unique
internal shielding of the device, the x-ray technician is protected from scattered x-rays, so they
can stay with the patient during the procedure.
“Even with the advances in dentistry, some patients are still very anxious about their dental
procedures,” said <hygienist name>, a dental hygienist who performs many of the x-rays. “The
ability to stay right with them during the imaging provides an extra feeling of security. They are
more comfortable knowing I’m there with them.”
“Helping our patients become more relaxed in our environment is critical,” adds <dentist name>.
“When they feel comfortable, they come back for the treatments they need to stay healthy. And
that’s what it’s all about.”
