Deliver an effective and efficient research and survey programme which meets the business needs of SYPTE. 2. Manage field staff to ensure efficient use of resource for the delivery of the annual survey programme. 3. Assist the Data Services Manager, as required, with the procurement of external contractors to undertake agreed sections of the research programme to ensure overall delivery. 4. Develop and continually review procedures within the remit of improving working practices of Fieldworkers and Mystery Shoppers to ensure that working practices are efficient and effective. 5. Organise the efficient movement and secure storage of completed interviews and questionnaires to maintain data integrity and confidentiality. 6. Produce reports and assist the Data Services Manager, as required, in making presentations to clients to communicate the key results of research activity. 7. Any other duties commensurate with the post as directed by the Data Services Manager. Planning and Organisation: Coordinate the work of the team in line with priorities agreed with the Data Services Manager. Implement department plans to agreed timescales and key target levels. Contribute to team working within the team, and work with others to continually improve cross-functional efficiency. Assist in the management of projects by identifying resource availability. Decision Making and Use of Judgement: Respond to queries raised by third parties respecting the various needs for confidentiality. The post holder will be expected to use personal judgement/initiative in carrying out the role. Day to day decisions and judgements are made on several time management issues and administrative responsibilities. Further guidance and the allocation and prioritisation of workload will be managed with the Data Services Manager. Contribute to the team and section decision-making both informally and at formal team meetings. Essential Internal and External Relationships: Liaise with SYPTE staff at all levels to ensure the efficient operation of the department on a daily basis. Liaise with external partners, including public transport operators and the public as necessary, to ensure projects run smoothly and to agreed delivery timescales.
