South West Whippet Club Ch. Show results 15th.Feb. 2015.
I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge the dogs at this
well run and friendly show, also for the wonderful entry I was delighted with
the depth of quality that has improved since I last judged this lovely breed. I
was disappointed to overhear one disgruntled exhibitor complaining about
her dogs placing while still in the ring.
Veteran dog. (10.-3)
1st.Russell`s Ch.Willingwisp Star Trooper. fawn & white lovely quality
good neck and shoulders covered ground standing & on the move.
2nd.Woods Ch. Ardencote What A Cracker. fawn white trim good make and
shape moved will just prefered topline of 1.
3rd. Clilverd`s Monelli Mississippi.
Minor Puppy dog.(11-1)
1st. Osbornes Softouch Ever So Clever At Derohan. Fawn mature for age
correct head long neck into well laid shoulders, fill of front moved well with
drive holding his topline.Good depth of chest and spring of rib was pleased
to award him best puppy dog,will watch his progress with interest.
2nd. Ford`s Sunset Warrior.Fawn dog another promising pup good head
neck & shoulders covered ground on the move.
3rd. Glasspool`s Moonlake Miles To Go Mannerpool.
Puppy Dog. (13)
1st. Obornes Softouch Ever so Clever At Derohan.
2nd. Woods Ardencote Star Gazer. Not as mature as winner but still a very
promising puppy good head and reach of neck enough depth and length
moved well.
3rd. Carhill & Timberlake`s Chipperlake Sail Away.
Junior Dog.(16 - 2)
1st. James Drakesoak Halloween Twist. Light brindle of good size pleasing
head correct neck & shoulders correct front movement and covered ground.
2nd. Woods Veredon Just Love at Ardencote. Fawn dog pleasing head long
neck into well laid shoulders moved well not a mature as my winner.
3rd.Vaughans Mossbawnhill Carries It Off.
Yearling dog.(9)
1st. Neales Stormalong Romantic Romeo. Brindle dog of good breed type
good head and pleasing eye plenty of depth & fill of front.good quarters he
used on the move he was the best mover in this class.
2nd. Whitaker-Crosby`s Mulcair May Contain Nutz JW. out of a larger
mould than 1 he had good depth and length not as settled as 1 on the move.
3rd. Griffith`s Pelyma Dashing Duke.
Novice Dog. (12)
1st. James Drakesoak Halloween Twist.
2nd. Cahill & Timerlakes Sail Away. 3rd. in puppy dog. fawn party of nice
size stood over ground and held his topline on the move.
3rd. Bray`s Cyangrange Monsieur Mutt.
Sp. Beginners Dog (10-2)
1st.Fosters Koppelwell Silver Phantom JW. smoky fawn dog with dark eye
correct bone & feet plenty of depth and loin moved well with drive.
2nd. Price`s Whistlefield Easy Rider.Fawn well grown 10mth old with good
bone and feet moved well.
3rd.Bray`s Cyangrange Monsieur Mutt.
Graduate Dog (11)
1st. Neales. Stormalong Romantic Romeo.winner of yearling dog.
2nd. Dillon`s Lorbri Billy No Mates. Red fawn dog of correct size with good
bone good quarters he used on the move.
3rd.Pirie`s Bosmere Blueberry Ripple at Limasfault JW sh CM.
Post Graduate Dog. (12-3)
1st. Wilkinson`s Rowengarth Wind Of Change By Fletchgate. Good quality
black lovely head ,neck and shoulders good bone and feet stood over ground
and moved really well with drive.
2nd. Mulligan`s Ashkyem Big Star. Brindle dog good length and depth
moved well round the ring.
3rd. Chappell & Cross`s Blueflight Tiger Mist.
Mid Limit dog ( 9-1)
1st. Smith`s Collooney Jayhawk. White parti dog. pleasing head with good
bone & feet correct depth and bend of stiffle moved well with plenty of
drive.
2nd. Kirkland`s Palmik Starlight Raider. Fawn dog similar coments as 1 just
not so steady on the move as 1 today.
3rd. Jones Jothryn Bjorne To Love JW.
Limit Dog. (26-7)
1st. Dufty & Morland`s Trinken Never Stop Dreaming.Light brindle dog
correct head with good bone & feet correct amount of depth well ribbed
good length over the loin with good turn of stifle and drove off his hocks on
the move R.C.C.
2nd. Allan`s Zoraden Gingerbread Latte JW. dark fawn of heavier type that
1, good bone & feet and stood over ground but not so positive on the move.
3rd. Russells. Glantam Shooting Star.
OPen Dog.(17-4)
1st. Howgate & Hull`s Palmik Live To Tell JW. Cream fawn with white trim
dog Masculine head with dark eye good pigment correct amount of bone,
good feet, depth of brisket and spring of rib lovely length and topline good
bend of stifle and well let down hocks he used on the move flowed
effortlessly round the ring and a joy to see him move so well fore and aft. I
was pleased to award this young dog the C.C. and with my co judge he went
on to B.I.S. I was delighted to hear this was his 3rd & crowning C.C. today.
2nd. Wilton-Clark`s Ch. Shalfleet Simply A Lord. brindle & white well
known Ch. dog good head neck, depth and length with strong quarters he
used well moving round the ring in side profile. Had to give way to the
younger boys today.
3rd. Short`s Ch.Collooney Going Dutch.
