Alison Steiber, PhD, RD, LD Assistant Professor Director, Coordinated Dietetic Internship/Master Degree Program Department of Nutrition School of Medicine Case Western Reserve University Cleveland, OH Dr. Alison Steiber is a registered dietitian and assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition at Case Western Reserve University where she is the Director of the Coordinated Dietetic Internship/Master’s Degree Program. Dr. Steiber received her bachelor’s degree at Minnesota State University, in Mankato, MN; completed her dietetic internship and master’s degree at The University of Kansas Medical Center and later a PhD in Nutrition at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. Dr. Steiber was responsible for coordinating the Subjective Global Assessment Consensus Conference in 2003, was president of the Cleveland Dietetic Association in 2007-2008, and is currently a member of the National Board for the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education for the American Dietetic Association. In 2008, Dr. Steiber received the Joel Kopple Award from the National Kidney Foundation and was awarded the American Dietetic Association Foundation’s first research grant in renal disease. Dr. Steiber has written numerous research publications and has spoken at local, national and international meetings. She is an active member of the American Dietetic Association and the National Kidney Foundation; is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Renal Nutrition; and is a reviewer for the American Journal of Kidney Diseases, Kidney International, and Journal of the American Dietetic Association.
