School Training Events Fund Application Form School of Geography The School Training Events Fund provides financial support for postgraduate training events organised by graduate students for graduate students. The money is distributed on a competitive basis. Such events will typically involve invited speakers/experts, and should be of interest and open to as broad a constituency as possible. Examples would include a seminar or workshop organised around a particular conceptual debate, methodological approach/technique, or an issue of personal and professional development. The money available for such events is not defined in advance, but would typically be in the region of up to c£300. If you are interested in organising such an event, you can make an application using the form below. Once completed, the form should be submitted by email to the Director of Graduate Studies, David Pinder (d.pinder@qmul.ac.uk). Proposed event details Please give as much detail as possible. If possible include the proposed date, venue and a programme outline if applicable (including names of those you intend to invite). Up to 150 words 3. Funding requirements Please give a breakdown of the estimated costs, for example for refreshments, travel for external speakers etc. If the total estimated costs are higher than £300, please indicate where extra funds will be obtained (or whether it would be possible for the event to run if granted only £300). 4. Have you applied elsewhere for funding? If so, please give details.
