2. Compare and contrast the governmental institutions and processes of democratic

3. Compare and contrast the impact of political systems on political outcomes in
democratic and non-democratic political systems.
Upon completion of PS 103 students should be able to:
1.
Analyze and critique the theory and practice of the politics and government of the United
States as it impacts ethnic minorities.
2.
Examine and analyze the strategies and tactics used by ethnic groups to attempt to gain
political power in America and critique their effectiveness.
3.
Participate effectively in ethnic based political and community based organizations.
