It is the policy of the Faculty of Law to support full-time doctoral students for three years of graduate study at the rate of
academic tuition plus a $15,000 stipend – provided they are in financial need and are not working more than 10 hours per week
on outside activities. The Faculty provides financial support to some, but not all, Masters’ students on the basis of academic
achievement and/ or financial need.
Some Faculty of Law scholarships and awards are targeted at specific groups and/or research areas. Please review the
Graduate Program website for details of the targeted scholarships and awards listed below. Please check the box beside those
targeted awards for which you believe you are eligible and explain the basis for eligibility on an attached sheet (max. one page).
If you are awarded a targeted scholarship in a particular research area, you cannot change the focus of your research without
the permission of the Associate Dean.
