Description:
Open call to a dance/movement-based Research, Creation & Group (public) Performance, with an inclusion of other creative practices, in a
WORKSHOP-RESIDENCY format, conducted & guided by South African choreographer, dancer/performer, dance
teacher/educator/researcher & cultural activist, Tebby W.T. RAMASIKE.
This Workshop-Residency, which is in conjunction with Tebby's interactive, multidisciplinary, crossover collaborative ongoing project, under the
work title: « THE WALKING THROUGH : A Journey ... A Memory … A Recollection ... The Meeting », is open to Everybody (all levels &
abilities) interested in movement and to explore different ways of expressing themselves through dance, movement, voice, text, music, acting,
film and other related mediums of expression ! The goal is to connect with your inner-self & explore your creativity.
The result of this WORKSHOP-RESIDENCY will be a Group Performance for the public on Sunday 19th April from 17h00
The WORKSHOP-RESIDENCY will be a duration of 70 hours in total (including rehearsals and the collaborative group's public Performance)

Tebby, a South African choreographer/dancer/teacher/researcher/cultural activist, arrived in Europe in 1995 after
working with different theatre and dance companies in South Africa and abroad. He travelled extensively during a
period of research and collaborations. As a dancer he worked with internationally acclaimed choreographers and
teachers. He was nominated and won a number of prestigious choreography and dance awards. In 1999 he
founded TeBogO Dance Ensemble (TBO), renamed TeBogO Dance – TBO, which since its inauguration has
been invited to perform and teach in countries such as Japan, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, South Africa,
Netherlands, Spain, Luxembourg and Poland. A holder of an MA degree in Choreography from the Dance
Unlimited Programme in Arnhem, Netherlands, he was the first recipient of the international choreography bursary
from the Michel Tesson Performing Arts Trust and subsequently the Creative Arts Foundation. In 2002 he
became a member of World Dance Alliance -Europe and currently he is a member of UNESCO's International
Dance Council (CID). Currently, he is working on an interactive multidisciplinary crossover collaborative project.
