Major Projects

FY 09 Budget: developed communications budget

2007 Annual Report: graphic design completed with final approved financials;
wrote Kari’s/Terry Elling’s letter; oversaw printing and mailing

Northwest Regional TSC Conference: proofed/edited final registration
brochure; wrote and distributed news release; proofed/edited final event
program

Board: created online Feb. 08 “BoardLink”; attended and participated in DC
board meeting; wrote scripts for volunteer and board presentations, etc.

DC Food and Wine: edited and worked with designer on event program; wrote
bullet points for Kari’s radio interview; wrote entire event script; worked event
with photographer and chefs

Comedy for a Cure Hollywood: edited multiple sponsor/donor/celebrity invite
letters; proofed publicity items including ads, etc.; worked with contract PR
agents; attended event and worked red carpet; compiled post-event publicity,
etc.

Comedy for a Cure Boston and Chicago: created initial Boston info but event
is now postponed; reviewed/edited Chicago auction/donor/comedian invite
letters, etc.

Outreach: edited two books/presentations for Dena on the IEP process and
other educational issues

Government Advocacy: created/updated website as needed and online
Legislative Action Center information; edited/wrote advocacy eBlasts

Online Communications: wrote/edited/approved multiple eBlasts; created
FaceBook and MySpace TS Alliance sites; created TS Alliance YouTube Channel –
posted Infantile Spasms video there, which currently has 4,000 views; continued
work on Step Forward to Cure TSC event pages, etc.

Website: many updates/additions to current website; continued work on new
website, including refining navigation; end of May is target date to debut new
site; worked with Development on new online store.

Step Forward to Cure TSC: wrote/edited and worked with volunteers on
publicity and news releases/radio PSAs; continued online work previously
mentioned; logos to several groups for signs/banners

Spring Perspective: articles written/edited; graphic design completed; target
mail date is second week of May

Infantile Spasms Video: production completed; DVDs distributed; wrote news
release about project; posted on website and YouTube

Tabletop Display: ordered new tabletop display for use at smaller medical
conferences etc. for Science Department; graphics to come

May General Fundraising Appeal: worked with Dee Treimer on spring appeal
letter; edited/rewrote her letter; oversaw graphic design and mailing

Other Development Projects: wrote Schnurmacher Foundations grant
requesting funding for Spanish DVD and Spanish “Intro to TSC” brochure
printing; edited several fundraising letters/membership appeal; approved Stamp
Out and Shrub Sale mailings, etc.; edited Endowment Newsletter articles

Online Discussion Groups: worked with OCA to rewrite and upload new
discussion groups due to vendor change

Public Service Announcement: submitted Julianne Moore print PSA to InStyle
Magazine per their request; no specific date for printing available yet

FY 09 Marketing Communications Planning: continue to work with Kari and
outside vendors/contacts to begin solicitation process; starting to write RFP
