In-class presentations

Lesson plans

without didactic commentary: 1-2 pages, otherwise 3-4

content of the lesson plan:
 description of the class/group (age, size, school form, if possible level)
 statement of overall aim of the lesson (concrete enough as to not be applicable to
any lesson)
 statement of fine or elementary aims (1-2 cognitive aims, 1 methodological aim, if
applicable 1 affective aim), as concrete as possible
 overview of the lesson in table form (landscape format), containing
- the estimated time
- the phase (introduction, work phase, transition, securing …)
- what the teacher does
- what the students do
- the social form (class plenary, group work, pairwork, individual work) and
the forms of interaction (teacher-student conversation, teacher’s question,
student’s question, student’s contribution, teacher’s contribution, role play,
discussion, …)
- the media used

content of the didactic commentary:
 a step-by-step commentary on why that procedure has been chosen (over other
possibilities)
Long essays

10-12 pages, excluding table of contents and literature
