Directions to Access the New Student Math Textbooks Electronically (grades
6-12)
1. Go to activate.classzone.com. You will need to enter the appropriate access
code for your textbook and school building (see below):

2. Click on create a new student account*. You are for your birth date and
name. Create a username and password, choose a security question and
enter the answer. (*If you already have a student account for another
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt textbook, log in with your username and password).
3. Click on the math bubble then click on either middle school or high school.
Pull down Ohio from the state list and click “Go”. Scroll through the books
shown to find your textbook and click on it. It will be helpful if you know the
name of the book and can recognize the picture on the front for the first time.
Students have access to these features:
• Online Book- the same as your text (only lighter)
• @Home Tutor program- assesses your weaknesses and helps in those areas
• Power Point- see the presentation your teacher may have used in class again
• eWorkbook- provides lots of practice problems
• Games and other learning activities
• Animations
• Quick Reference Section- See conversions and other math formulas
• Practice section quizzes
• Practice chapter tests
Note: Students will NOT be able to access the Teacher Toolkit area. Please contact your
