Architecture Programme Architecture Programme: The Bachelor of Science (Hons) Architecture degree course consists of various interdisciplinary subjects which would provide a good foundation in Architectural Design, Architectural Communication, Construction, Architectural Practice, and Architectural Theory and History. The programme has been designed with the objectives of providing not only sound knowledge an architectural design, conceptual development, building construction, architectural detailing, structural design, building services, architectural history, architectural graphic communications, presentation skills and computer studies but also the development of analytical and creative thinking. It is the first tier of the new tow tier architectural education comprising of a three year Bachelor o Science (Hons) Architecture programme which could be followed up with a two year Bachelor in Architecture Professional degree programme. Careers: Upon completion of this programme students are able to work in the construction industry from assistant designer, draft person, architectural illustrator, project supervisor, assistance project manager, contractor, building materials sales executive, etc, or further their study in other related fields such as architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, urban design, interior design, etc. Entry requirement: The minimum entry is as per UTAR’s MCP and MQA recommendation. However, for admission to the Architectural programme, an addition of a portfolio submission is required for applicant without credit in SPM ‘seni lukis’ subject. Applicant who meets the minimum entry requirement and passed the portfolio submission can be considered for admission to the programme.
