Pay scales for qualified classroom teachers in Hampshire maintained schools only – September 2014 i.e. excluding leadership group members and Leading Practitioners in maintained schools and excluding any teachers employed in academy schools unless that Academy school has adopted Hampshire’s pay framework With effect from 1 September 2013, there is no longer a set pay spine for qualified teachers. The School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document require individual schools to determine locally the pay appropriate for their teachers, providing it falls within the statutory minimum and maximum defined with that document. The statutory minimums and maximums are: Qualified Classroom Teacher Range Minimum £22,023 Maximum £32,187 Upper Pay Range Minimum Maximum £34,869 £37,496 However Hampshire County Council, in consultation with relevant stakeholders produced a model pay framework for adoption by maintained schools.
