You can choose among these topics: - Popular leisure activities: What do they do after school? And at weekends? Are they the same activities as here? … Include a conclusion. - School: Is the educational system the same as here? And do they have the same subjects or lessons? What does the building and facilities look like? … Include a conclusion. - Daily life: Are their meal-times similar to ours? Do they eat anything in particular that is typical from that country? ASSESSMENT CRITERIA What aspects of your presentation will be taken into account: Interesting and mature content (you have to include all the points suggested for your topic) Fluency when speaking (if you read, you will fail, because this shows that you cannot speak any English at all) Good pronunciation Student's own English (if you just copy, you will fail, because this shows that you cannot express yourself in English) Good Power Point presentation Accurate use of this presentation aid: it's no use writing everything that you tell your audience, the Power Point programme is useful to catch the listener's attention and to guide them through your presentation, but DON'T WRITE EVERYTHING THERE (if this happens, your mark will be lower) Mature opinions and conclusions This project will produce 20% of your 3rd term mark, as much as a test.
