Word Processing This unit is designed to enable the learner to use a limited range of word processing software tools to produce documents. Learners will develop an awareness of health and safety and consider environmental issues related to using a computer. They will also consider career opportunities requiring word processing skills. The unit will also provide the learner with the opportunity to develop their manual dexterity and written communication skills. This unit includes: the use of a computer; consideration of health and safety issues when using a computer; consideration of environmental issues relating to the use of a computer; consideration of career opportunities related to word processing; and a review and evaluation of performance.
