Quarryfoot Practice Profile Website: www.quarryfoot.co.uk Quarryfoot Practice is based in Bonnyrigg Health Centre Bonnyrigg Health Centre was opened on the 15th August 2005. The building accommodates three practices and a range of community services which are managed by Midlothian Community Health Partnership. Quarryfoot Practice currently looks after 5200 permanently registered patients. In addition to the practices the building accommodates the Community Nursing and Midwifery teams, Health Visitors, Treatment Room Nurses, Podiatry, Physiotherapy Suite, Dietetics, Community Care of the Elderly team, Community Mental Health Team and Community dementia team. There is also a community pharmacy in the building. Quarryfoot Practice The four partners, together with our salaried GP and nurses, supported by the HCAs form the present clinical team. Including the Practice Manager, Office Manager and Practice Pharmacist, there is a total of eight further staff providing essential management, reception, pharmacy and administrative support. Staff employed by the Practice Quarryfoot Practice remains committed to providing a multi trained team to benefit the patient experience. Our Lead Practice Nurse is also a qualified Nurse Prescriber and we have recently appointed an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. The Practice also employs a part-time Pharmacist who assists in the many prescribing initiatives carried out by the Practice. The majority of the front office team has been trained as a Phlebotomist or Health Care Assistant. IT within Quarryfoot Practice The Practice has always believed in using technology to enhance the benefits to patients. Management of patients includes the utilisation of care management screens and templates on our clinical system (EMIS) .We also use the MJOG text messaging service to patients. Pay and Conditions of Service There are 6 weeks paid annual leave and 8 days public holiday per year. Salary for the post will be discussed at interview.
