Cheboygan, Michigan, May 21, 2013-- Today the Cheboygan County History Center
announced the launch of Blue Star Museums, a collaboration among the national
endowment for the arts, blue star families, the department of defense, and more than
2,000 museums across America to offer free admission to all active duty military

support has been provided by MetLife foundation through Blue Star families. The
complete listing of participating museums is available at www.arts.gov/bluestarmuseums.
The History Center will host a special one-day uniform exhibit to mark the launch of the
Blue Star Program and to honor our veterans. The exhibit entitled “Cheboygan in
Uniform” will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature just some of the many military
uniforms in the museum’s collection. Admission is free for everyone.
“Our Museum is proud to be part of the Blue Star Museum program which gives us a
chance to thank our military families for their service and share with them America’s
cultural treasures.” says Lewis Crusoe, Executive Director of the Cheboygan County
History Center.
