During service/maintenance work when system is broken into, splashes to the hands, body and face are possible. Also vapour may be breathed. Transport: In manufacturers/suppliers containers with lids tightly closed. Use barrel handling devices for handling 200 litre Drums, to minimise manual handling. Storage: Keep drums in a dry place away from heat sources keep tightly closed. NO SMOKING Spillage: Leaks from containers or plant: Do not discharge into drains, soak up with absorbent material (sand, sawdust) then place in chemical containers for disposal by special means. Flush spill area with water. First aid: Inhalation - remove patient from exposure. Summon medical attention if required. Skin contact - wash with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Eye contact - immediately irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water, holding the eyelids apart, for at least 15 minutes. OBTAIN IMMEDIATE HOSPITAL MEDICAL ATTENTION. Continue irrigation until medical attention can be obtained. Ingestion - do not induce vomiting. Give a suspension of activated charcoal to drink OBTAIN IMMEDIATE HOSPITAL MEDICAL ATTENTION Fire fighting measures: Extinguishing media - Foam, water spray, dry powder or carbon dioxide. Move containers away or keep them cool by spraying with water from a protected position if exposed to fire.
